Our Story

In Carnatic music, Abhogi is a raga associated with beauty and emotion. For us, it reflects how craft should feel intuitive, personal, and lasting.

Abhogi began with a simple instinct choosing with intention.

What started as one sister in India curating sarees for her sister in the US slowly grew into something more. Each piece was chosen with care, worn with ease, and remembered.

Today, Abhogi works closely with weavers and artisan communities across India bringing together sarees, jewellery, and home textiles that are rooted in craft and designed for modern living.

Abhogi Wear brings together a more considered range of Indian weaves.

At its core is a focus on handloom silks, sourced directly from weaving clusters across the country, with a strong foundation in South Indian textiles particularly Mysore crepe silk, known for its fluid drape and quiet sophistication.

Our curation spans distinctive regional weaves including Gadwal, Ilkal, Chettinad silk, and Mulkalmoru, along with Tussar, Paithani, Patola, and Banarasi bringing together a wider expression of Indian weaving traditions.

Alongside classic drapes, we also specialise in ready-to-wear sarees—designed for ease and versatility while retaining the integrity, structure, and beauty of the original weave.

Jewellery and accessories are thoughtfully selected to complement the saree adding depth and detail while maintaining a sense of balance and ease.
